School of Continuing Education (CE)
LIU Post's School of Continuing Education (CE) offers adult students a world of career and personal development opportunities. Students can enroll in courses that will help them advance in their current job or train for a new career. Many choose Continuing Education courses to fulfill personal interests or explore artistic talents. Students find that LIU Post offers them the solid information they need to succeed. CE Institutes – Business, Technology, Not-For-Profit Management, Financial Services, Health, Legal Studies, Real Estate and Personal Enrichment – offer a broad range of choices. It is possible to complete the coursework needed to become a Certified Financial Planner or Paralegal, to prepare for the Real Estate Sales or Broker exams, or to complete Continuing Education requirements in real estate. Students can master computer skills, learn how to start their own business or take courses relating to health and public services. Those enrolled in the Personal Enrichment Institute can explore photography, interior decorating and more.
We also offer two-hour courses in School Violence Prevention and in Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse. In addition to classes on campus at LIU Post, a selection of CE courses are offered at the Brentwood Campus of Long Island University. Customized corporate training courses are also offered at company locations.
LIU Post created its Continuing Education Institutes to bring the academic power of a major university to the local community. Certificate programs, non-credit courses and workshops are offered at convenient day, evening and weekend times. Registrations can be completed by phone or fax using a credit card, but checks should be mailed or brought in person.
